I have full fibre broadband. Three weeks ago I bought an IPad. It recognised the router but said that there was no internet. Turned router off and on. iPad works, but certain other devices then not working. After several reboots, I still had a tv and a fire stick not connecting. Rang PN who said all good and it must be a problem with my devices. After several more reboots, I have a Google Nest, a Kindle, a Roku tv, a laptop, and a fire stick all recognising the router, but telling me no internet. This cannot be down to my devices (other fire stick and Nests all work). Any suggestions please?

Are you using DHCP to allocate IP address’ and default route ?
If so have you allowed a large enough pool to include all devices ?

Hiya @drayltonboy,
Sorry to hear this is happening, have you tried the device on another broadband connection to see if it works?
This will help us determine if it's something with the router.

I have a hub2, which, I think, does not allow me to choose, or set my bandwidth. If it does, plmk how to do it.
I have a number of smart devices connected to my router, but only a few are used at any one time, and it is the same devices which don’t connect even when everything else is turned off. All devices recognise the router, but the same few say that there is no internet.

In the Hub 2 admin screens can you see the affected devices ?
Can other devices on your network see the affected devices ?

All devices are shown. How do I check if they are allegedly connected?

Did you try a factory reset on the Hub? To do this, push a paperclip or similar in the reset hole and keep the switch closed until you get a green light.

Yes, and, no difference. All devices can connect to my phone though, so, it must be the router.

Since resetting, all firesticks and most smart devices now don’t work (along with laptop). I have a phone, IPad and IPod connecting. Little else.

Is IPv6 enabled on the router? It is possible that some devices are connecting using IPv6 and not getting any further.

I’ve been doing some checking and note that I don’t have an ONT box, even though I have Full Fibre. I only have the normal phone line, with micro filter. Could this be the base reason for my troubles?

You can see what connection you have by checking this page on your Hub
Navigate to Home >Status you should see either
Connection type: Fibre Broadband (VDSL) - this is Fibre to cabinet known as either SOGEA or FTTC. The product name is Fibre
or
Connection type: (External FTTX) - this is Full Fibre
HTH
