Wi-Fi dropping in and out multiple times a day

My router seems to drop signal 2 or 3 times a day. Sounds insignificant but is incredibly annoying when streaming a game or TV show and it cuts out. Then have to reset it and wait for it to reboot. Any ideas how to fix this or what is wrong?

To clarify, are you saying that the WiFi signal drops out regularly, or the broadband service?

When this happens, does the light on the router change colour, (to what)?

It goes red and then reconnects after a while.

@JRST91  - Hi, I've ran a few tests here and although I'm not seeing a concerning amount a drops (We're looking for more than 3 in 24 hours), I am seeing that the sync rate of your connection is lower than estimated by quite a lot though indicating that you have an issue either internally or external to the property that once fixed could reduce the drops.

Is your router connected to the main phone socket with the original short dsl cable or are you using a long DSL extension cable?

I believe it is the main socket which as a filter plugged in and the router plugs into that.

We’ve been having the same problem since the weekend and it’s v frustrating. Did you manage to sort yours out?
