Wifi down, red light on router

Hi, we got in today at 13:00 and there was a red light flashing on the router. We restarted and now it is a constant red light. We restarted 90 mins after the problem was discovered and the issue is still happening. Could you please advise?

@jackwinkles Is your phone line clear? Please follow the below:

First thing to check: Is your phoneline clear? Dial 17070 (preferably from a corded phone), select option 2. Once your phone number is confirmed, there should be silence on the line except for the regular 'Quiet Line Test' message - any other noise, report a PHONE problem via: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/phone/

If the phone test passes, report a broadband problem via: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/broadband/

Let us know the result - if the tests come back as clear but you still have a problem, we need to investigate further.

Unfortunately we don't have a landline phone to try

OK - just use the BROADBAND link and report your problem. A cheap corded handset is a useful tool whilst you are on ADSL/FTTC , though.

Try pushing a paperclip in the hub reset hole, hold the switch closed for 25 seconds or so. Wait 10 minutes or so to see if it recovers. If you still have a red light then your hub has probably developed a fault and needs replacing.
