Re: accessing my router to change password

OK, it is a Hub1. Which password do you wish to change?

Re: accessing my router to change password

Welcome to the forums.

Which password are you referring to and what router are you using?

Broadband password - e.g. the password that your router uses to physically establish a connection to the Internet. In most circumstances, you do not need to manually update this password as it happens automatically whenever your account password via the Plusnet website.

Router admin password - This is the password used to log into your router configuration pages. What it is, how you change it and what address you need to browse to to get to it all depends on the router you're using. Most Plusnet-provided routers use http://192.168.1.254

Wi-Fi password - This is the password your devices use to connect wirelessly to your router. Depends again on what router you're using but can be changed via the router configuration pages.

Edit: everybody else beat me to it Wink

Re: accessing my router to change password

Slightly different.  BT6 router not automatically updating. When I try to change password a "helpful" note tells me "BT customers don;t need this" - but I am not a BT customer.  I have entered admin password but cannot edit password. Do I need to reset the router or somesuch ?  Each time I log on I have to run troubleshooter which "resets adptor options" and all is well but it is tedious.
