drop in sync speed

For the past 10 years we have connected at 76MBIt sync speed, with a 74mbit download.

This has slowly been dropping over the past month, I am now on 63MBIt, the connection is stable and SNR's seem fine.

Can someone check if the line has been banded? I have been talking to support for 45+ minutes and they say, they cannot check if it is banded and we have spent all this time doing the usual first line support stuff.

An internal fault has been raised but I am wondering if one of the agents here may get to this issue faster.

I plug directly in to the master socket, I have removed the face plate to confirm their is no issue with it and plugged in directly. This syncs at the same speed,

This is when I started syncing at 63MBIt and it never lifted. The connection stays stable i.e over 14+days. I have tried resetting it after that in the hope of getting a better connection

02:34:08, 10 Jul.    (2696292.720000) PPPoE is up - Down Rate=63733Kbps, Up Rate=16411Kbps; SNR Margin Down=7.9dB, Up=6.0dB

Now dropped to 70mbit:

03:24:03, 30 Jun.    (1835299.760000) PPPoE is up - Down Rate=70667Kbps, Up Rate=16120Kbps; SNR Margin Down=6.0dB, Up=6.0dB

Dropped a bit more:
03:20:57, 28 Jun.    (1662316.560000) PPPoE is up - Down Rate=73292Kbps, Up Rate=16184Kbps; SNR Margin Down=6.0dB, Up=6.1dB

First dropped to 73mbit:
02:03:36, 16 Jun.    (620890.710000) PPPoE is up - Down Rate=73375Kbps, Up Rate=16378Kbps; SNR Margin Down=5.1dB, Up=6.0dB

Last time I connected at full speed:

(328542.520000) PPPoE is up - Down Rate=76278Kbps, Up Rate=16546Kbps; SNR Margin Down=4.0dB, Up=6.0dB

Current diagnostics:

9. Line attenuation:26.0 / 19.1
10. Signal attenuation:25.7 / 19.1

Re: drop in sync speed

Hi @digga2

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with the speed of your connection.

It looks like our suppliers want to arrange for an engineer visit to investigate further.

Can you advise when you'd be free for a visit?

After the 3rd of November I will have a limited presence here as I have moved to a new role

Re: drop in sync speed

i've sent some dates over PM.

Are you sure the line is just not being banded ? The btwholesale speed tester shows there a profile set - IP Profile for your line is 61.69 Mbps
