dropouts with weather

Hi,
I'm pretty sure my broadband enters my house via a telephone wire (It's not underground cabling)
I'm doing everything Plusnet advises with my service, using the m,aster socket, using a wired connection where possible, and even regular rebooting.
I'm in Scotland right now, and unfortunately we are getting a large amount of rain, which for some reason is causing my connection to drop off completely, even though my router light is blue?
I understand Plusnet can't control the weather, but surely there is some kind of discount/boost you can give me!
thanks
Jamie

@JamboUnchained I assume you mean you live in Scotland, not that you are visiting?
Taking the rest in order: Apart from the regular rebooting, which I certainly wouldn't advise, and I'm sure other experienced users would also advise against, your second paragraph makes sense.
If wet weather is causing your connection to drop, that indicates that somewhere along the copper line there is an issue which needs investigating. Just to narrow things down, are you on an ADSL or FTTC connection?
You won't get a 'discount/boost' - that is not the way things work - you/they need to eliminate the problem.

Look at the Help pages for both phone and broadband. When you get a drop off run the phone checks as per the suggestions in Help.
Even if they come up clear you need to report a fault - not certain whether it's classified as phone or broadband. If the phone checks report a problem then you start with a phone fault.
PN will report the matter to OpenReach who will probably send out an engineer - weather dropoffs are OR's respnsibility, not PN's.

Hi John, I'm on a FTTC service, Plusnet took so long to organise infrastructure checks, so I went with that instead
, thanks I wont restart if not necessary

@JamboUnchained Then as advised by @bmc , report a broadband fault - there is obviously a problem with the copper section of your connection.

I don't know about the 'dropout' message - never used a PN Hub, but the '400 bad request' message is something totally different - sounds like a routing issue, to me.

Hey, but a copper problem is on PN's head, not mine, right?

Then, as suggested, report a BROADBAND problem, which should cause them to request an OpenReach visit to resolve.

So the line is not losing sync but the data is being disrupted. Sounds more like an electronics problem in the hub or FTTC street cabinet than a line issue.

I know you did - but if you don't report the issue, either via https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/broadband/ or https://faults.plus.net then they will not pick it up quickly - staff response on here is slow.

If it only happens in wet weather, I can't see that?
