very slow the last few weeks

very slow the last few weeks

the last few weeks i've had very slow broadband compared to what https://www.plus.net/member-centre/home says i should be getting, according to the site i should get "38 to 40 mbps download" but ive not seen it hit double digits in weeks. any advice? here is a speed test i did as i type this:

It sounds very much like you have a problem - most likely not in your home/office environment, but more likely in the BT/OR network.
First thing to check: Is your phoneline clear? Dial 17070 (preferably from a corded phone), select option 2. Once your phone number is confirmed, there should be silence on the line except for the regular 'Quiet Line Test' message - any other noise, report a PHONE problem via: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/phone/
If the phone test passes, report a broadband problem via: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/broadband/
Let us know the result - if the tests come back as clear but you still have a problem, we need to investigate further.
The above assumes you still have 'normal' landline connection - if you have a SOGEA (internet only) one, just use the second link to report a network issue.

i dont have a landline, nor the ability to text or call (my phones broken and i cant fix it for a few months), should i just buy a very cheap phone when i get paid?

Hi @Jc05 I've now raised a fault with the Suppliers. A fault was found on your line. They want to book an engineer to visit the property, can you please confirm 3 available slots and I can get the earliest one booked for you. These are Monday to Friday, between 8am and 1pm (AM) or between 1pm and 6pm (PM)

Cheers @Jc05, I have booked the first one which is the 16th of October between 13:00 and 18:00. I will also send an email confirmation with this on and Claudia will check back with you the next day to see how it went
