Business service restricted for breaching Residential AUP???

Just had our service restricted for breaching the Residential AUP by making too many phone calls, which they consider 'non-personal' use!

It's a flipping business broadband account, so it is being used for non-personal use.

Have spoken to them 3 times so far, they all say something's wrong and I need to speak to business customer services, but I just end up in a call queue all the time...

Re: Business service restricted for breaching Residential AUP???

Hi there,

Really sorry for the confusion.

The Acceptable Use Policy actually applies to business connections too, which is detailed here and the fair usage limits are provided here under “Call plan details”.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

@rscott

The only statement of a usage limit seems to be the dreaded non-geographic numbers...

Non-geographical numbers (0845 & 0870) Inclusive at all times
(Indirect access and dial-up Internet numbers are excluded)
Fair usage limit of 150 calls or 1000 minutes (whichever is reached first) applies*

Have you tried this SAYNOTO0870.COM - Non-Geographical Alternative Telephone Numbers to identify alternative numbers?

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
