@dsw - We've never tracked browsing URLs and have no intention of starting Smiley
@jelv - Thanks, I'll check that that's all correct with Dave and Denis.
@aerodiver - it's possible, certainly hope it's not as a result of this though. We'll keep an eye on things.

Re: E100 Wireshark Trial - what's all this then?

I've just done a capture and found IPv6 traffic recorded - any idea why I'm seeing this?
Edit: OK, tracked most of it down. It's because Win 7 has enabled IPv6 on the connection and most of the IPs are my own.

Re: E100 Wireshark Trial - what's all this then?

Connected up OK, took a couple tries, all was going swimmingly. But then..

Just had a connection dropout, and reconnect.  Router lost IP address temporarily.

Looks like it could be a 'setting-up' disconnect or something?
Anyway all looks good so far, tried a couple VPN's, set up a TBB BQM:

Re: E100 Wireshark Trial - what's all this then?

Just a quick question:
Has the spotify 'p2p' streaming issue become fixable with these new traffic management switches? Just checked and I *think* it's coming down as Silver (0x40)?
Quote from: dave
Doesn't look it's going to be possible unfortunately to pick up the P2P element of Spotify and classify it separately. Any content delivered direct from Spotify is already built in as streaming but we can't add the P2P element.

It's likely it'll be a similar situation on the new platform, but I'll confirm with Dave when he gets in and update shortly.

Re: E100 Wireshark Trial - what's all this then?

Ok thanks Matt,
Is there any explanation for the 4 drops me and jelv's connections saw last night?

Re: E100 Wireshark Trial - what's all this then?

My connection didn't drop overnight. There is a possibility that those 4 blips on the BQM are to do with something on the TBB network.
I'm on ptw-ag02, which gateway are you on Alex?

I suspect jelv is right from checking your connection logs, here are yours houlton23:

And jelv's:

As per the above we've not seen any drops from our side of things.

Re: E100 Wireshark Trial - what's all this then?

You are most probably correct Jelv, just found another random BQM from my bookmarks (got a feeling it's one of the PN staff, which also shows the drops here)
And I'm on ptw-ag03.

Matt, You've posted the wrong graphs - that is just showing up to the time I switched to E100. You need to get the graphs for our trial user names!

What issues are people facing with Spotify? Undecided

Re: E100 Wireshark Trial - what's all this then?

The issue with Spotify is that the peer to peer streaming part is classed as either Bronze or Silver traffic, which can be heavily rate limited at peak times.
There was a thread on this a couple years back here but the conclusion was that because Spotify uses encrypted P2P, the traffic management switches couldn't pick up that traffic properly and put it in the Gold (or streaming) queue.
It doesn't cause too much of an issue on most accounts, but on accounts where P2P and Other traffic are heavily rate limited (to below the 160kbps Spotify Free streams at, or the 320kbps for Premium for example), it can cause issues (P2P on the legacy Unlimited package is rate limited to 128kbps and Other to 228kbps between 6-10pm)

Right... correct graphs then Cheesy

Hope that's a bit better. The blips at the start of houlton23s are the connections that didn't work (as I mentioned above you'll only be able to connect 1 in 5 times) so nothing to worry about.

Re: E100 Wireshark Trial - what's all this then?

Got my details for testing but I'm going to leave it until tomorrow as I'm out this evening but, anyway, today each time the wind blows, my lights flicker, and the modem and router reboot. I'd never know what to blame Wink
