Don't forget that moving to the new product for those that weren't trialling 80/20 for us will be a new 18 month contract. But yes, it's cheaper, faster and with more usage.

+ £5 extra to make it real Fibre

Have you tried without Pro recently? The rate limits aren't low as the download speed page says they are as we've relaxed them over time, we'll be updating the page very shortly to show what we actually do now.

I had thought the 18 month contract was only for those who didn't have fibre or weren't part of the original 40/10 trial. I did phone about whether to switch over but not for 18 months and no offers on the new fibre products too apparantly. Would cost me £10 more a month for a lesser limit so this doesn't change my mind even with the doubled transfer rates.
Can you post the link here Chris when the speed page has been updated?
Thanks

Usenet, p2p amongst other protocols were capped at 2Mbps for large parts of the day which to many constituted a problem. However as Chris says these limits have been revised so shouldn't be as much a problem if at all now. I have dropped the Pro Addon to see what difference the revised caps make. I'll post my findings when I have reached a conclusion.

Bob,
If you happen to read this, could you take a look.
we signed up for the 10meg upload trial a long time back, and were accordingly put on the billing system for this. I think it was an extra couple of pounds a month. Could you see if we are still paying that and if necessary remove it.

Cheers
Paul.

Nope, it applies for all non 80/20 trialists. Can probably make the odd exception for 40/10 but only if you're already on one of the old Value/Extra Fibre products.

Usenet and p2p are still capped at peak hours (8pm-10pm), and they are treated as lower priority outside of those hours.  If you want line speed usenet and p2p, you need pro.  (pretty much what it's designed to do Smiley )

My order has gone through and been activated now, no hiccups and now showing current line speed of 78Mb.

Re: Launch of new Plusnet Fibre Products - 80/20 and 250GB usage allowance

just woke up and checked my emails on my phone, it says the order for fibre extra has gone through.
Amazing bit: I now have 250GB usage from this morning  Shocked (See screenshot - the wallpaper adds to it!)
I swear its supposed to change on billing day?! Can someone at PN confirm I can now go mental with the downloads?

Re: Launch of new Plusnet Fibre Products - 80/20 and 250GB usage allowance

Sorry if this is a daft question.
I ordered the fibre upgrade on Tuesday, and had to enter my three preferred engineer dates. I entered them for mid September.
I've not had any confirmation of which date has been booked for me though. Does this take a bit more time than I have allowed?
Ta very much!
