If Plusnet keep just saying "exchange X is not market 3" when the rest of the world says it is,
How valid is that belief of yours? Undecided
People once believed the Earth was flat. Surely neither Plus net nor the others you mention are the true true sources og how matters are to be interpreted,
No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

I didn't mention any sources.  I'm making an observation based on the content of this thread.

Re: New Ofcom Market bands announced

Last night I raised a ticket on behalf of my referral and friend regarding this issue (just pointed out the sources of the information).
Did not expect anything positive but this morning there is a reply stating that she has now been changed to Market 3 with billing amended accordingly.  Huh
Thank you and well done Plusnet.

Re: New Ofcom Market bands announced

Me too. I raised a ticket primarily because I was billed the £1.50 cc surcharge a few weeks before that's due to come into effect, but also asked about the market changes. It's been a day and a half... wouldn't mind a response on ticket 38751838 if any Plusnet people are reading.  Wink

I did. I changed from Unlimited to Extra - does that make a difference?

Re: New Ofcom Market bands announced

Yes it does, there's a bug where it treats people who change accounts the same as new users - I've seen one person get a refund because of this error.

Re: New Ofcom Market bands announced

Ah, that'll be it then. I actually intended to sort out a direct debit, but I thought I'd let the regrade go through first, then enquire about the market changes before getting into it. Best laid plans and all that...  Roll_eyes

Re: New Ofcom Market bands announced

Morning guys.
We've had a few workshops about the market re-classification and the latest I knew is that we were going to be modifying signup at some point this week so that it reflects the new classifications (don't hold me to that just yet though!)
We'll also be looking to update the Usertools exchange checker.
Regarding the situation with existing customers, we're still to define a process AFAIK, and until we do there's a possibility that the front line support staff will be a little inconsistent in their handling of any queries. This is something we hope to have ironed out this week though...

Re: New Ofcom Market bands announced

Thank you for the clarification Bob and I hope that the changeover all goes smoothly.  I am sure that there will be a lot of happy customers and this will no doubt reflect positively on Plusnet.

Re: New Ofcom Market bands announced

That's good news Bob.
Assuming the update does go ahead, will existing customers on market-variable products automatically get charged the new price?

Re: New Ofcom Market bands announced

Bob can you please updated this exchange cuckoo oak on this site: http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/ as cuckoo oak is now on market 3 (no longer on market 2) to ensure I get the lower price on my plusnet extra at £11.49 on market 3 pricing. As both samknows and ofcom show as market 3 on my exchange list. Thanks Bob.

Re: New Ofcom Market bands announced

To echo Bob's update, I raised a ticket and after a few days wait, my new band was confirmed, joy!
Although, apparently it will be classed as a new product, it's still a win situation.

Re: New Ofcom Market bands announced

lucky for you brokenthumb that plusnet now put u on market 3 instead of 2. They haven't updated my exchange yet to market 3. If they don't updated after 1st 3 months discount at £11.49 , I will move elsewhere because everyones should treat equal fair way.
