Re: Peak time latency spikes

That's.... bad,
Can you run a speed test here: http://speedtest.btwholesale.com ; and make sure you click on the further diagnostics button at the end and paste out the results.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Been lurking on this thread as I've been having issues which seemed to have settled down over weekend but come back tonight as pings when gaming (playing Rift) are all over the place, ranging from 60/70ms up to 2000+ ms. Streaming netflix at same time over the weekend caused no issue, tonight it became horrendous.
Connected to gateway: ptn-ag01
IPlayer diagnostics:
Download speed: 72612
Stream 1: 10343
Stream 2: 20272
Stream 3: 5490
BT Test:
1. Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
Download Speed
73.21 Mbps

0 Mbps 77.44 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed
Download speedachieved during the test was - 73.21 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 16 Mbps-77.44 Mbps .
Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 77.44 Mbps
2. Upstream Test: -provides background information.
Upload Speed
7.99 Mbps

0 Mbps 20 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 7.99Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps
Hope that helps.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

My TBB monitor for tonight.
Currently on pcl-ag07 but the Openreach Modem has disconnected a few times this evening (marked in pink :D) so I don't know if the gateway has changed since approx 8pm this evening.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Cheers, hadn't seen that one. Only just switched from an ADSL connection that didn't seem to have any big spikes on Rift (even in Storm Legion) to a Fibre Unlimited account, and hit problems then. I initially assumed this was just standard whilst the speed/connection stabilised, but it did seem to tie in to the issues/times noted in this thread. Didn't notice anything untoward over the weekend, just last night it started spiking a lot again at the same time other users noted issues. Still glad to see a fix going out for it, and hopefully that should resolve it.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Deepest joy.... exactly the same here now (it was fine earlier on this evening).
Sorry for a curt manner, but is this going to get fixed gents as it does not appear to be a problem that has just started happening?

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Pretty diabolical earlier. Was on pcl-ag03. This is the worst I have ever had.
Then gateway hopped and got on to ptn-ag03 (currently on). An improvement, but still bad from my usual of around 18-19 down and a ping of 10.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

I'm on 'ptn-ag01' and just simple web browsing and viewing emails with embedded images feels slow tonight,
horrible ping times as shown below, but apparently near normal line speeds !
