On the TAP3 test (for me), it says "Waiting for www.adobe.com"; in the status bar...

Presumably, as the test uses Flash, that's part of the page logic to check you have the latest version of Flash installed as it loads the Flash content. I've never managed to get the TAP3 test to work since the BTW update - it seems like resources that are needed for the test are not accessible from the test realm.

I've tried 12 times to run part 3 of the BT speedtest.

Did you sort out the login issue? The credentials needed to login to the test realm are:
USERNAME: speedtest@speedtest_domain
PASSWORD: testing
(rather than blank password)

Re: Peak time latency spikes

@Finguz - I was just about to take a look into your connection but Dan from our Faults Team has beat me to it! I'll keep an eye on that for you, we'll get you sorted Smiley
@Bright - Leave the TAP3 issue with me, I'm going to be working on this today. From our end we can see that the TAP3 is completed, but it returns speed results as '0' - which is as much use as not doing it! I'll let you know when I know more.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Had an email about the support ticket I raised about this problem today "As we haven't heard from you... yadda yadda yadda..."
I'm now actively looking for a different provider  Angry

Clearly the Agent that responded to that ticket pressed the wrong "standard response" button  Roll_eyes

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Problems starting yet again.......My beautiful 70 Mbps+ connection is dropping fast...ohhhhh guess what its peak time again...wished I worked nights and then I could utilise my 70Mbps then.....
Ok Chris Purvey has told me to post here when my problems started again. I'm on CityLifeline House pcl-ag01. Problems encountered are down speed has gone down by almost 50Mbps to 24Mbps but my upload has only dropped by about 1-2 Mbps to 15Mbps.  Ping is not bad at 24ms (Ive had worse 70ms+ at peak times). Having a little stutter on internet radio and tv catchup. Not tried the PS3 yet, Web pages sometimes stall like they have a nervous twitch or something. Other than that its just the massive drop in Download thats peeing me off..

Re: Peak time latency spikes

pcl-ag03 performing poorly:
3/13/2013 7:18 PM GMT 17.26 Mb/s 14.83 Mb/s 23 ms Maidenhead ~ 50 mi pcl-ag03
3/13/2013 7:19 PM GMT 17.62 Mb/s 14.61 Mb/s 29 ms Maidenhead ~ 50 mi pcl-ag03
pcl-ag08 is fine (upload a little below par for the first two tests):
3/13/2013 7:02 PM GMT 85.30 Mb/s 7.33 Mb/s 5 ms London < 50 mi pcl-ag08
3/13/2013 7:03 PM GMT 85.57 Mb/s 9.86 Mb/s 5 ms London < 50 mi pcl-ag08
3/13/2013 7:15 PM GMT 86.57 Mb/s 14.98 Mb/s 6 ms London < 50 mi pcl-ag08
