When's this work happening?
Early tomorrow morning, Saturday 22nd March.
What does it affect?
Access to email and our Webmail service.
How long will it take?
Up to eight hours.
What does the work involve?
Enabling our new mail storage platform.
Am I likely to notice the work?
Yes, both inbound email via POP3 or IMAP and our Webmail platform will be inaccessible, you will be unable to send or receive any email, any messages sent to you will be queued for the duration of the maintenance window.
Is there anything else I need to know?
This change should help to improve the performance of our Webmail platform.
Kind Regards,
Chris Purvey

Actually this could be good news

Pity they couldn't advise everyone about this beforehand by email - let's hope it works

No - didn'r know there was such a thing - but will investigate thanks. I was suggesting something as potentially critical as total loss of email service should be notified to everyone though regardless of their settings
EDIT - now signed up.
