Re: Sheffield-based Help & Support

im getting confused and even more curious. bob says the staff at durham were not actually plusnet staff so why did yorkshire forward pay 1,4 million to relocate call centre staff who were not employed by plusnet and have not been given uk jobs. just what was the 1.4 million then spent on.
Also an dthis is just a off the cuff opinion  you are advertising suuport staff at 14k  that sounds pretty low wages.

Re: Sheffield-based Help & Support

We didn't physically move staff over from SA to the UK, we recruited and are continuing to recruit more staff in Sheffield.
The wages vary depending on the role, IIRC customer service advisors *start from* 14k, tech support *start from 18k*.

Re: Sheffield-based Help & Support

I can't discuss the details of this as honestly I don't know them, however I'd imagine it's to recruit additional staff in the Yorkshire area as seems to be their remit.

They were in Durban, South Africa. Not Durham, Northumberland...they're very different places Wink

We seem to have 2 similar threads on this subject.  Could the other one be merged with this one?  (thread: Smell in his brain by This old man)

Re: Sheffield-based Help & Support

Nah then ;gerrin rait dahn t' nitty gritty  n' goin off at a tangent as I' ve cum late t' this un
Will that mean more Sheffield people being employed ?
If so I hope they will be from the Blades side of the city, as I dread to think that any percentage of my payments  might be going down hillsboro' way !! (That really hurt my fingers typing that word)
Also, a big get over yourselves to all the whiners who dont now how resolved and resilient Sheffield people are .(they would have made it in if it were humanly possible)
And thank god you didnt relocate to Adelaide or Brisbane (or even Pakistan) !.
