Can't reset password from old Community

I have tried to reset my password - put in my postmaster@xxxx.plusnet  email address - but I got nothing back via email.

So I had to creat a new account - ( just added an x to the end of my old accoung name ( mal08).
I'd like to get that back - any suggestions please.

it's 'something'@'something'.me.uk

I enetered email address ( thanks ) and got the email - which I clicked on link, - I put in a new password - but it reported an error. So back here with new and hopefully temporary ID

Did you perhaps use any characters it didn't like in the password?

No - just a mix of upper and lower case letters and numbers

When you clicked on the link and logged in for the first time did you get any errors upto that point. I assume you didn't make any typos with the confirming the password entry?

Didn't change the email address at the same time? It won't like that I'd guess.

@mal08x, see if using delete within the password field helps, as I discovered here.

yes I just tried resetting password and it came up with the same error.
I'd like to get back to my original mal08 user name to retain my history - so yes please - your help would be appreciated
