Edit option

We used to have a edit option even though it may have had a time limit on it but why can we not have one that is there on a permanent basis ?

For example on my call Blocker post the word c has been added due to a mistype yet there is no way to change it ?

I have no idea how web sites operate but get the impression that some other company designed and changes the site at intervals, clearly this service is not provided free to PN and as a customer PN must have some say or input as to what is wanted or changed ?

Whatever changes are made it should not lead to a reduction in what was there before ?

The ability to edit a post does exist @gleneagles but is only available for 20 minutes after you post, so if any errors are found after that there's nothing you can do. Although you may be able to ask a mod to change it, but this may not be an option either.

The edit option is still there, be it time limited.

I have thought this in the past  The problem that then occurred to me with having a permanent edit function is that if the OP changes the original post after a significant time delay it is quite likely that follow on replies no longer make sense.
