Embedded pics in a post don't appear

I've just realized in trying to post a pic in a thread post that, even though the pic seems to upload, it doesn't actually appear in the post after it's submitted. I had the same problem about a week ago. Looks like there may be a problem?

Are you using the 'Insert Picture' button above the text box and are you using a picture that has been saved to your device?

I have just tried that and it seems to work.

If you are using the Browse button then any attachment will appear as a link below the main text. Sorry, if I'm pointing out the obvious here.

Yes to both.

It looks as though it is going to work at first because the file uploads, but once it's posted it's not there.

I've just noticed that although the pic appears after it's uploaded in the Rich Text tab, it's not in the Preview tab, although it always used to be before this. Doesn't seem to be registering properly.

No problems with the preview here but the filetype I posted was png. What are you trying to post and I'll give it a go?

I have seen this too - saw a post referring to "this" and thought a link was missing. Out of "just in case" I clicked around the area and an image appeared - no obvious sign of any link or something to click on.

Note viewing on Win10 Edge.

In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

jpg files certainly do it. Not tried any others.

@Townman now you mention it, I have also seen what you are describing. No apparent link to a pic but it's there in the background somehow.
