Fed up with forums not working properly!

I have been seeing slow performance sporadically for a few weeks.  This morning things were looking good  -  but this afternoon back to pants.  E.g.  Browsing the Forums OK then back to "unread posts" OK for a few passes then stuck at 'Connecting' for about 40 minutes.  Other pages to other sites functioning normally.  Firefox 26.0 and Win XP

YES - but loading an image was quicker than usual but still slow

Yes I still get lag on FireFox

I'll try taking the entry out of the hosts file to see if it is still as bad

I posted an attachment a couple of days ago and instantly got a hang. 99.9% of my normal posts go through without an issue though.

No better here, just viewing this thread I had to refresh it as it failed to load first time

Replying to a thread in Chit Chat just now
With no attachments of any kind

Pressing F5 to refresh the page sorts it out

I often have to click a forum link a second time to get a page to load.

Just tried posting with a small attachment - it hung but checking in another tab the post and attachment were there.

I had the same thing and it was very slow before it showed up in the other tab

Ok.  Latest tweaks haven't helped obviously   Still being looked at.
