I wonder if any others agree with me, that it'd be preferable if the 2 TOPIC areas currently at base of forum home page, were switched to top?

Need to consider that this is a responsive layout design ... which morphs according to viewport size. Personally I use the site on a mobile phone predominantly and would not want to need to scroll past 'acres' of other content to get to the boards.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

I use it (predominately) on a laptop with all the sections 'collapsed'. Any topics I am subscribed to that have unread replies are indicated in the notification area, and if there are none there, but unread posts showing, I just scroll quickly to the foot of the screen, hit 'Unread Posts' and click on those which may potentially interest me. That way, I don't need to read any that are of no concern and then just mark the whole site read.
