Forum emails taking an age...

Seems the forum emails are on a go slow, taking a couple of hours to come through at the moment.

Anyone else noticed this?

Re: Forum emails taking an age...

Registration confirmation email was so slow I had shut down the computer and got it on my phone as I was going to bed. Not quite uselessly slow thanks to having a smartphone.

I've noticed it too.

Last email I received at 22:40 was for a post made at 20:24.

Re: Forum emails taking an age...

Notification of a post made 22/11/2016 21:09 arrived in 15 minutes. Then one (for a different topic) at 21:18 took 3 hours 7 minutes.

The delay is at handover from Lithium to Plusnet avasins

Received: from smtp2.lithium.com ([46.19.168.11])
by avasin05.plus.net with Plusnet Cloudmark Gateway

Received: from ams1papp11.am.lithium.com (am-lb-VIP-VLAN90.am.lithium.com [10.50.90.6])

Date: Tue, 22 Nov 2016 22:18:21 +0100 (CET)

The avasins might be the source of the delay since I had a similar one a couple of days ago between ccgi and the avasins.

Re: Forum emails taking an age...

I receive an email whenever a new post or thread is created in the Community Feedback board and I received an email at 22:16 last night. Checking the time of the thread and it was created at 22:16 so I got the email instantly. I use Gmail for this forum as I can filter everything into the 'social' tab.

Is it a problem with the plus.net email or does anyone use normal email services like outlook/hotmail or gmail as well and receive delayed emails?

Re: Forum emails taking an age...

Not sure what happened then to be honest. I have never had emails be delayed (or at least noticed it). It might be that the servers were under some strain last night or the community was going through its scheduled weekly maintenance (which is every Tuesday and is automated).

@dvorak - Kind of defeats the purpose of the whole thing I guess. Says @Anonymous (11:15)

Re: Forum emails taking an age...

Weirdly, the last email I have received from this thread was from Spraxyt. Haven't received any since then.

I have emailed Lithium to look into this.
