Forum service bugs and user guide...

Where does one currently report suspected bugs and find out the finer points of using this forum technology.
Bugs - it looks like the "reoprt bugs here" thread is locked and there is no other obvious place to look.
Bug:  When submitting a post with attached files (possibly only if more than one) there is no 'success confirmation' in the form of returinging to the thread (or elsewhere) after the page has been posted.  The user is left with the input screen in the same state as after pressing the POST button.  MSIE 8 on Win7/
Usage: [ url ] and [ quote ] tags can have parameters, what are they please, where are the details published?  If they are not published, can they be please?
And another query - how do you include square brackets and text which matches one of the formatting codes?  I wanted to post something quoting a reference to "color" corrected for British English: in normal notation, this would be typed as "colo[ u ]r" (without the spaces), however removing the spaces results in the under line code, giving - "color".  Cheesy.  Having recognised this as a challenge, I returned here to update this post and noticed that my use of the tags above gave unanticipated results hence the need to place spaces into the 'quote' and 'url' tags above.  Crazy
Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Forum service bugs and user guide...

The Report Bugs thread is only a placeholder - you report the bugs in this board
Regarding not returning to completed post - this only happens occasionally and I don't know why but pressing refresh at that screen takes you to the post or at least it usually does with me
Using the short cut icons gives you the basic format as below
[color=black][/color] ]
[size=10pt][/size]
[b][/b]
In general as this forum uses SMF (look at the bottom of the page) then the generic codes should work as given here http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?P=9cda743d29621ab404da60b7a992d77e&board=22.0

From Jim's link,  you need to use the bbcode command that turns of bbcode,  nobbc!
so hopefully, colo[nobbc][u][/nobbc]r should do what you want  (which worked here with nobbc doubled up!  :D).

I'll have to see if the stalls on posting that I see, occur more frequently when attachments are involved  Sad
