To be honest it doesn't really matter to me as once I know where it is I will find it again.
Not too sure why the 'None of the above' option. If that gets the most votes does it mean you'd leave out GCC
Perhaps an option of 'Other, please specify in reply' may have been more suitable?
On colour, the pink is definitely superior than the grey.

Quote from: Simon I didn't think many people came here principally for GCC, even if they do spend more time in there, but I could be wrong. I would have thought most people come principally to seek or give technical or Plusnet related information. That's not to decry GCC - a lot of us probably waste quite a bit of enjoyable time in there, but it's not really why we are forum members - or is it?
I occasionally visit other forums, but I spend a lot of time here precisely because it's a very good technical resource and a venue for entertaining and informal chit chat all in the same place. Plus, one gets to hear all the PN news as it happens, eg the forthcoming 'Plusnet Extra' product.

This is one of two forums I often visit; this one for the same reason as 4C. I'm voting for chit-chat at the bottom.

- I do like Chit-Chat being at the top as it's one of my favourite boards, but I really don't think it belongs lumped together with the more serious boards. General Chit-Chat has no relation to any other boards on the forum, so as I see it it should be in its own category… or it could perhaps share a category with the gaming board, as that features discussions that aren't just support queries. Either way though, it really doesn't belong next door to a forum where people will be getting irate and asking for MACs.
- ‘Business users Forum’ needs correcting to ‘Business Users' Forum’, or better still, ‘Business Users' Board’.
- Also on the subject of that board, I again don't feel it belongs where it's been placed. All business users' queries should go in that board, so in my mind it should be kept away from the VoIP, home phone, hosting etc. boards as they're for residential customers only. Though realising that's unlikely to happen knowing PN's aversion to too many categories, why not at least put it at the bottom (or top) of the category it's in? Currently it's sandwiched between two boards to which it bears no relation whatsoever, which makes it look completely out of place in my opinion.
- ‘Off topic’ in General Chit-Chat's description should be hyphenated.
- The board descriptions are so… boring and repetitious. I know the aim was to make them very concise, but I think something's being forgotten: that a new forum user will likely read down through many of the descriptions to gain an idea of what's on offer. At least I know I do when visiting a new forum for the first time. And reading down the proposed descriptions really makes me want to fall asleep (well Ok, slight exaggeration)… concise they may be, but it also makes them feel like they were knocked up in five minutes flat. Four example, seven of the boards end with ‘here’. Many of the descriptions also use very similar sentence constructions that basically go verb-noun-noun or noun-verb-noun which adds to tedium; varying sentence structure is a well known way of making something more interesting to read but that's not been employed much here. I suppose this might sound like sour grapes seeing as there's very little remaining of my proposed descriptions, but this isn't really… I don't care who writes them, I just want to see something a little more scintillating adorning all of the forum's boards.
- I still feel we need a board for miscellaneous device queries such as those pertaining to iPhones, queries about which are popping up on here increasingly frequently. As things stand on the forums now, posts about iPhones and related devices can end up anywhere from Community Support to Mac OS X to General Chit-Chat. And, now that the board for miscellaneous gadgets/hardware has been removed, it looks like that messiness is set to continue.

I agree with you on that 100%
