New community forum feedback

Looks good, but will take some time getting used to.

May I say, the colour of text used is an absolute strain on my eyes! Any chance of it being black instead of washed out grey Undecided Managed to change my login name to NorthEasterner and will have to redo my signature, no biggie.

Don't forget, you'll need to upload an avatar (or set the default grey one) - just click on your username towards the top-right and select 'My Settings' on the drop-down menu - there's a tab for Avatars.

Welcome aboard the 'new world'.

Yep got my avatar sorted.

But seriously don't like the colour of the text font!

Re: New community forum feedback

@NorthEasterner, I believe the text colour is a 'corporate / management dictate' for consistency across all the updated Plusnet site.

Re: New community forum feedback

Also my signature which had HTML is no longer the way it used to be.

Possible to put pictures on and links?

In that case, fire the managers! This grey text is awful.

Awful isn't it!

It's okay to read on my iPad but not on my desktop Roll_eyes

Re: New community forum feedback

Another vote for black text without having to select it!

Gonna take me a while to get used to this new forum......  Sad

Re: New community forum feedback

Hi guys

As @Anonymous mentions above, we're very keen to maintain some consistency across our site BUT let me take it away - it's pretty simple for us to change and there's definitely enough call to do so. I'm on to it.

Re: New community forum feedback

Yes, @PlusnetLiam changing the text colour to a much darker grey or black is sure to be popular.

Re: New community forum feedback

Yes, thanks Liam, appreciated.

I see that on common with other forums i read that have changed, it is supposedly easier for mobile devices. However, on a desktop it means a lot more scrolling as there is a lot of wasted white space. A line break (return key whatever) automatically gives 2 lines rather than one, or can I change that in my settings.

Also, in the old forum, from the front page I could click on a little icon to take me straight to the last post on a topic. Is that still possible, as I can't see it?
