Re: New skin bugs and tweaks

Does anyone else think the font used to display the users rank (Member, PlusNet Staff Member, Bright Spark Member, Usergroup Member Member, Forum Moderator Member) is larger than needed?
Also, do we need "Member" on the end of all the ranks (other than the basic "Member")? Usergroup Member Member is only saved from looking supremely stupid by being split over two lines!

Also agree - it is a bit obtrusive

Re: New skin bugs and tweaks

The show a person's last posts page isn't very clear on where one post ends and another starts, would it be possible to have the same white / cream colour scheme used when reading threads?

I have made the font smaller, and will be rolled out later this afternoon. We have tidied up the individual post display area trying to give it more "hierachy" to make it cleaner looking

Would it be possible to add "unread posts" to the bottom listing

See what you are saying, will potentially look at doing the above at some point (but no promises Grin )
Thanks
Jonny

Or a "Back to Top" button would do it?

Unfortunatley not at the minute. We are working striaight onto gamma as to speed up the process of getting this stuff fixed (Gamma is only available internally unfortunately). Also i think Beta might a be a little out of date now as we have made many change since we went to gamma, hecne need s a full update which will take some time. Most of the changes we have made are only slight layout changes so we will roll these to Live once we have confirmed they havent broken everything on gamma Grin
We will though try and get http://community.beta.plus.net fixed for next lot of changes we make from the feedback.
Thanks

Re: New skin bugs and tweaks

I've already got a back to the top button (the Home key on my keyboard) Tongue
It would be nice to be able to do what I do 95% of the time by a single click instead of two clicks or a key and a click.

As I said we will look at seeing what we can do with the next few sets of changes we make over the next week Grin

That must be the one with the thickest layer of dust, close to the overused one that used to say 'Delete'.
It doesn't always seem to take you back to the top of the page, is it supposed to?

Re: New skin bugs and tweaks

Using a decent browser (Firefox) it always works for me. I've just tried in Internet Exploder 7 and it's a bit hit and miss using that - now there's a surprise!

when you have finnished work, do you hit the end then the home key, is that what they were for?

Re: New skin bugs and tweaks

When I'm reading the forums, I actually have my middle finger on my right hand sat over the home & end keys.
They get used a lot!

Mouse scrolly wheel and backspace for me.  (backspace = keyboard shortcut for "go back")
