Re: Painful browsing the forum, like wading through treacle

You are lucky it's only six seconds - my last reply to a post elsewhere just before this took 17 seconds to 'find' community.plus.net.Knuppel

Re: Painful browsing the forum, like wading through treacle

For the first time it has affected my posting. Press the post button, went to the loo and came back, still looking for community.plus.net. I know i'm quick, but not even I can get to room 100 and back in 6 seconds Smiley

Yes, this. It can sit there for quite some time allegedly transferring data.

@JonoH

Is it possible to get Lithium tech directly involved on this thread please? I’m sure there’s lots we can do to help if they ask the right questions.

I provided very detailed screen loading recordings and diagnostic traces to Jack before he left. Did they ever get sent to Lithium?

Am connected over EE 4G on Safari (iPhone).

Pages are loading / rendering in part but are taking forever to complete the load process.

Re: Painful browsing the forum, like wading through treacle

After a long run of few problems, today has been consistently slow (most pages taking up to 10 secs. to load )
Still Win7/Chrome.

Re: Painful browsing the forum, like wading through treacle

Do Lithium host the forum or PN? Could it be the hosting thta is an issue rather than the software?

Re: Painful browsing the forum, like wading through treacle

I've just about given up reporting the appalling speed @JayG - Lithium obviously are not giving this issue any priority - if they are investigating at all.Undecided

Re: Painful browsing the forum, like wading through treacle

Liking something takes for ever and replying takes even longer.

Now FTTC connection to PN Towers, Win10 Edge browser.

Editing a post is slower than paint drying - you can see the raw HTML being displayed before it is re-processed, displayed and the page jumps around.

@JonoH - Is lithium really looking at this topic and if yes, what are they actually doing please?  So do miss @jaread83 !! Cry

Re: Painful browsing the forum, like wading through treacle

Exactly, @Townman - the only action which seems fairly quick is refreshing the forum main page when I've been away a while.

Everything else - accessing individual boards, topics, replying is like being on 56k dial-up in peak hours. (And yes, I do remember those days.Smiley )

Re: Painful browsing the forum, like wading through treacle

Lithium have asked if some of you would be happy to provide a tracert so that they can try to see where the issue is.
