Priority - Forum bugs have appeared

@mtrinder @Chris @bobpullen

Several bugs have appeared in the last hour or so.

Clicking post options zooms to the top of the page (something Jack fixed a while back IIRC).

Clicking Username/Avatar for fly-out goes straight to Profile

Moving between RT/HTML/Preview is giving the Leave page warning.

I doubt that's all of them Shocked

Edit: Forgot going slow appeared.

Using Firefox

Username - takes me to the flyout

Moving between RT/HTML/Preview doesn't give the leaving page warning

One thing I have noticed is that when selecting edit the edit screen starts of showing the html code then milliseconds later goes to Rich Text

Clicking on Post Options doesn't go to the top of the page

Still getting those, and on a different device and have cleared caches and rebooted.

The menu drop-down bugs are intermittent now, as is the Page Leave in some instances.

I published the text colour changes 20 minutes ago. Do you think that these incidents coincided, or is it possible the bugs were already present? (It's important for us to know if we're breaking anything with a supposedly minor update).

Cheers,

Re: Priority - Forum bugs have appeared

The fly-out menu was definitely present much before that, the others I wouldn't have noticed  if I wasn't using the options, but I think I had the drop-down menu one and probably didn't think too much of it at the time. HTH.

Ok I'll make sure these get captured and looked at. Sounds like it wasn't caused by the last update, which is a relief!

This looks to me like another Javascript issue.

Using Firefox/Waterfox with Java enabled it works fine. Using MS Edge which disables Java I get exactly the same problem as Anotherone.

Re: Priority - Forum bugs have appeared

Well I have Javascript enabled, and I'm not the only one that saw this.

I'm getting the problem intermittently in firefox but not at all in chrome. Peculiar.

They are intermittent we me too, but more rather than less.

Re: Priority - Forum bugs have appeared

Yeah same here (on FF anyway).

We're releasing updates weekly at the moment, so we'll try and ensure that some of these get sorted in next weeks update.

Thanks for raising the issues, keep 'em coming Thumbs_Up

Re: Priority - Forum bugs have appeared

Well none of these were here earlier this morning, and the fly-out menu one is a major nuisance, the others will be especially on a mobile device, so if you can resolve these much more quickly I think we'd all appreciate it.

Re: Priority - Forum bugs have appeared

One more to add to the list @mtrinder, just went to mark a post I'd just read as 'Mark as New' and got Authentication error - the one that suggests Javascript isn't enabled (I've since achieved it with out error and with any other changes)

Re: Priority - Forum bugs have appeared

Hi @Anotherone

It's unlikely we'll be making any more updates to community today, these bugs will take a little time to root out - but we'll do our best to get an update out early next week.

Cheers,
