Ranking system going crazy?

@Browni - looking at your stats, you are pretty much bang on the rank for 'all star'. This rank bouncing thing is really strange... there is a large buffer between each one and I suspect the system goes nuts when one of your stats is EXACTLY the amount needed to go to the next one. Minivanman has also PM'd me about it and I have asked Lithium to look at our ranking system as I suspect this to be a bug.

I've seen it several times as I've 'ranked up'.   The algorithm that decides your ranking is a bit flaky ( 'ill conditioned' in maths terminology) and there is a gap where it can evaluate you as 'In' or 'Out' depending on the current value of the parameters. 

It needs to be made more robust and only confirm the new rank once it is stable.  First reported back in the early days of this new Forum, so it should come to the top of the Lithium mañana pile 'real soon now' .

Well whatever algorithm it does use it needs some attention that's for sure, as something's not right.

@Anonymous - The ranking formula seems fine in the settings. Hopefully @jaread83 gets some more insight from Lithium on what's causing this.

Well there must be an issue with the underlying eventing system, surely this isn't the intended mode of operation?
