Site Errors (Slow pages, slow posting, connection reset, uploads failing)

After replying & reviewing my reply to Avast's underhanded tricks, looking for alternative with boot time scan
Clicking on the back button & re-submitting the post worked

Why do I keep getting "Waiting for etc." and opening another tab to the forms doesn't help.
The only solution is to close the tab and start again

Community and Forums practically unusable for the past hour.   Page time outs;   "Server not found";  delay in posting;
I'm using my No.2 account in Norfolk this weekend, so away from all the usual vagaries of my normal rural connection.  Nice solid 16Meg down.

Later  12:44  Wish I'd not spoken about the good line speed - now dropped to 600Kbps down.  Upstream still reported as 790K though

Well I certainly have not noticed any real change, just as bad on occasions, but I usually have several forum tabs open and flicking between them often provokes the one I'm posting/previewing to do something 
Had some lightning Maurice  A quick reboot perhaps may cure it on 21CN.

Quite possibly.  Local  Router reboot did nothing, but after about 30 Mins it cleared - so probably at exchange level.  Similarly this morning, router log flagging 'No ADSL connection'  until about 10:00.  Now back to  lively 20Meg down.

All these problem are really starting to get me annoyed     
I wish Plusnet would pay serious attention to fixing these load balancer issues as well as anything specific with the forum.

It's been at it again just now - "Waiting for ............" , usually community.plus.net  :yawn (we are definitely a smiley short)

Are we sure that Plusnet is Yorkshire these days?  With all these 'tomorrow' activities backing up, it's looking more Irish as time passes - but not with the same urgency.
"We'll do you proud, but can we do it tomorrow (or the day after) please"

Given what happened with the ccgi platform which was 'going to be updated and improved' for years before being out-sourced, I can only guess that PN are looking for an external company to host the community site for them, fix the problems and import the existing site across.

As that is a quiet time' I am wondering if it could possibly be caused by the system backing up the forum ?
