Mine too!  Sad

Re: Toning Down The Background

Well, It is a lot less "bright" than white space..... and you can always change the colour by changing the hex coding......
( I am sure someone will suggest "nicer" / "easier" colours and the necessary coding... ).... You can google hex colour codes and have a go yourself....
I`m not apologising to anyone if they don`t like it... they don`t have to use it  ! ! ! ! ! !  Cheesy

Re: Toning Down The Background

Anyone know the hex code for 'Eau deNil' (the colour that traditionally used to be favoured in lunatic assylums for its calming effect)?  Crazy Crazy

Re: Toning Down The Background

I spent a few moments there trying to work out how to pronounce 'badabf', I certainly agree it's pretty calming (even compared with the one we're used to, eh Jim  Grin ).
Now wondering what colour the decor is in PN Towers  Cheesy

Re: Toning Down The Background

Since being slagged off, about the original colours that were used, and since old jim put up an alternative. I have modified the original Style and this now gives a lighter background, and a two tone effect on the Forum index page....
give it a try and see if you now approve.... either way... it is still a lot better than glaring white, burning your eyes....

Copy and paste this , into your edited style page....
