I just wrote a detailed reply to a topic in Broadband, only to have the reply blocked as the topic had been moved to Everything Else. I have no way to recover my text.
Now I've wasted my time, and the OP has no reply.
Aaargh!

I know how annoying this can be. Unfortunately we have no way of knowing when a reply is in progress.
With a long post I have got into the habit of using a word processing app such as Word, then copy and pasting it into the reply field. Once it’s posted, I delete the version held in Word.

What I do is to have a second TAB open for the thread I am viewing and wanting to post a reply. I refresh the second instance to see if there has been any update prior to posting the reply.

I've been caught out by that once or thrice in the past, sometimes on occasions where I've forgotten to save my typed text to the clipboard.
Depending on how long I've spent composing my reply, I've sometimes been able to retrieve most of the text from a draft on my profile page, which I believe are saved every 5 minutes.

Also BACK-PAGE often presents the reply page with the post still there.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

This has happened to me, too, many times. I have tried to replicate the error by creating a new post, then opening. Then I replied to it in another tab then moved the original post. Finally clicking Post works as expected and is automatically moved to the correct board.
I think the above issue must happen exactly at the same time Post is pressed and the thread is in the process of being moved.

@Townman, on this occasion when I got the post is blocked message and tried a BACK-PAGE (my first instinct) I then got a 404, and my reply was lost for ever 😞
