Urgent attention of @NickBS

What has happened to the Online Users tab?It disappeared just prior to me making this post, and is now displays as:

I know - it 'came back' - in bits between me noticing it, starting the post and then going back for the screenshot - bet I'm not sowing though, despite the fact I've been online since 0630 this morning.

ISTR you posted your observation some time ago that users 'disappear' exactly 1 hour after logging on, so presumably the people that have 'appeared' since your OP have just logged on. Therefore if you 'reboot' your login (logout and login) you will (presumably) show for another hour.

With all the vagaries the forum has been exhibiting for quite a while now, you could say it's *censored.

*self-censoring mode in operation.

You are quite correct, @RobPN , and despite me and others proving the point it was studiously ignored, as were a couple of other observations I made around the same time, by a certain 'Community Gaffer'  Nuff said!

And I shouldn't have logout and back in - the forum program has been - intentionally, IMO -'tweaked' to give the impression there are far fewer users on line than is the truth.

Not surprised this hasn't had a Plusnet reply - there have obviously been instructions from on high to turn this once vibrant and useful forum into a clone of the  BT Broadband forum - i.e. totally useless.

What is so important and urgent about you not having visibility of this list and why would Plusnet truncate it?

Customers come here seeking help and I doubt many look to see who is logged in first.

@Baldrick1 Sorry - it may not be 'urgent' any more as whatever someone was doing at the time has been corrected, although it is still not correct - and yes, it was someone, as websites don't throw as many 'funnies' as the forums have been doing for quite a protracted period, without human intervention.

I agree, those coming looking for help probably don't look there, but I find it - or did, until it became untruthful, a useful tool if I want to see who is online, for whatever reason.

This is just the latest 'wobble' I have seen on here, I have reported others, and eventually given up on expecting an answer, after either being stone-walled, or fed garbage.

I'm not a customer, BTW, but I am someone who cares about those that are, and while ever In can, I will continue to offer what help I can.

@Dan_the_Van That is probably because I start very early  = usually between 0615-0630 when very few are up, and although I am here up to ~2130 most days, I 'disappear' between 0715-0730.

Not sure of the significant of the time you start and why you go invisible. Its now 08:00 and you are showing as online, however MisterW has now disappeared. 

My account is set to log off when I close the browser, so you should see me come and go.

Yep, I know I'm still 'visible' - I didn't open the laptop until just after 0700 this morning as I had a bath first thing, but if you check now, or in the next 10 minutes, I bet I'm 'offline', even according to the indicator on my profile, eve though I can guarantee I'm certainly still logged in and active.
