Is there now an end to the free speech rule on the PN forum?

The plusnet sucks topic was moved.. but clicking the link results in an error saying i don't have the right privileges to do that - in other words its been deleted or hidden away out of public sight.

So.. is plusnet now clamping down on free speech on behalf of BT?

The thread was removed as it was deemed further trolling considering the OP had already made his feelings quite clear in other threads/posts.

This is purely a decision by the moderators and not influenced by staff.

Well obviously there has been some sort of policy change because the previous way of dealing with threads like that was to lock them and then let them sink into distant memories..

It's the sudden deletion of threads (and this isn't the first) that worries me. There was another one a few weeks ago that suddenly vapourised too if memory serves.

There has been no policy change - threads are not deleted and may be removed at the discretion of the moderators.

It's a tough choice.  Free speech is good - but there does need to be some boundary to minimise trolling.  I'm of the opinion that that particular thread crossed the boundary.

I'm with the Mods on this occasion.

Ah.... it was our firm friend Mars was it.. (found a cached page on google). Now I see why it was banished into the never never.
