jamesh do you not like people quoting your posts,  quote button's attitude,  Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again.

Hi guys,
We're still working to try to get this resolved, so we'll keep you updated as best we can. As for getting the error when trying to quote a post, I've found that if you click, say, Reply#(whichever post you're trying to quote) and then quote it will work that way.

@Jojo - I agree the click on Reply# method CAN OFTEN allow the Quote or Notify of reply to work, BUT I reckon it only works say 90% of the time, as I have had a number of instances where that just would not work and in the end I have gone to another thread, then come back later and been able to do whatever it was that I had previously been wanting to do.  I'm not saying you're wrong, just that as a work around it does not always work for some reason.   Undecided

Yes, I must say, it didn't wok for me every time, but certainly more then just clicking quote. Smiley

Me too !   Undecided
Today I discovered that when editing my Forum Profile and hitting Change profile, that quite reliably triggers the timeout error message.
The only way I found that I could edit my signature, was to create the text in a text editor and copy it to the paste buffer, go to the "Profile Summary" page, then "Forum Profile Information", then paste the text and hit Change profile.
Any other editing, or button presses made the timeout message appear  Angry

'Unread Posts' and 'All Unread Topics'

Has something changed in the last few days?
Normally 'Unread Posts' lists everything I haven't read, unless I've not visited the forum for longer than 12 hours or so, when I have to use 'All Unread Topics'.
Now it seems that 'Unread Posts' drops topics off the list within a matter of minutes rather than hours, necessitating frequent use of 'All Unread Topics'. Anyone else experiencing this?
FF7 and XP Home if it makes any difference.

It seems to be tied in with the "timed out" error as well. Most of us are experiencing both. You can see a full screen of unread, read one and go back and nowt  Crazy

I play safe and click on the forum sub name just below the thread I am reading, surprising how many you find unread.
A problem for a long time, before this current  debarkle is that edited ones didnt show

Hi 4C,
we've noticed this too, as this is the main way we keep track of things.

Aye, Jojo, it's the way I (used to) keep track of things too. Is there a fix in prospect?   Wink

Could we have a progress report on this issue please. It's gone beyond being a right pain! Angry

There's a server upgrade that needs to be carried out and is scheduled for next week. We can't be certain that this will fix the problems with community that we've seen so we'll need to see what happens.
I'll make sure we keep you all posted and cheers for your patience so far.
