Been following this thread and the other thread and have now experienced the 'Session verification failed." error when attempting Notify of replies. Can't remember this being mentioned before.
Just to add:.
When I refreshed the forum page I could see there was an unread message in the offending thread. I refreshed that thread and tried the Notify of replies. No message at all not even that it had been enabled. Trying again I as asked if I wanted to disable notifications.

I think we can safely say that we're seeing all sorts of funkiness at the moment, but at least we know what's causing it.

Did I miss something ? - All I've seen is a vague statement about a server upgrade next week but no mention of that being the solution or indeed any acknowledgement of what is causing the problem

I don't think any of us out in the wilds know but what I do know is if the forum was completely off line it would be less frustrating

D'Oh new Forum fault of the day !  
I just had an interesting weirdness that nobody else has reported so far -
I posted a reply in another thread, which seemed to be accepted (after the second hit of the [Post] button following the now familiar timeout error).
I then realised I needed to add something so hit [MODIFY], and the usual "edit" window appeared.
The problem was that I could move the cursor anywhere within the text - using the cursor keys or mouse,
BUT I couldn't actually edit anything as the letter and number keys had no effect, and the [Delete] and [Enter] keys did nothing either.
In the end I just closed the browser tab, retraced my steps, tried again and it worked OK the second time !

Heads up that we're /hoping/ to have this fixed early tomorrow morning. You're probably going to get logged out as a result though because we're going to need to clear the session tables.

First task of the day remove superfluous tag from HB's post above with the mallet.
I made the edit and clicked 'Save' and the page froze for 3 or 4 seconds and then refreshed ok.
Then I noticed the text on the tab at the top of the page...shown below.
Very odd as the page was fine.
BTW I'm running FF9 Beta.

So are we saying... That everything is as it should be?
I can't see where in the screenie that there is an issue?
The forum topic is 'Your session timed out while posting. Please try to re-submit your message' which is what the tab title will change to...?
