I know that you don't need another person telling you that their Firefox 46 works. But I wondered if the difference between us and you might be your Firefox theme. I, at least, am using the default theme.

I don't think the theme is going to affect anything. What might be happening is that the new version of FF on some OS's might have something up with the built-in Javascript engine. I can't honestly pin point why this would affect some and not others. Never the less - I have linked this thread to my 'authentication error' thread.
In the meantime there are a few things you can try:
Close firefox down and make sure the process has been killed in your task manager (windows) or activity monitor (Mac OSX) or the Linux equivalent.
Try signing out and signing back in to the community
If the above doesn't work..
Try a private browsing session - if this fixes the problem then its your browser cache.
Try deleting your browser cache for the community.
Last resort - restart computer.
In the meantime I have linked to this thread for the support ticket.

Hi @Anonymous, I am also on FF on Mac OSX (El Capitan) and am not getting these issues either. Though I do get a strange error message when the autosave kicks in. We have filed a support ticket for these authentication errors and I am hoping they are all linked to a single problem happening server side.
Will keep you all updated when we get some answers.

Well what I will do is take my time to reply to this to give auto save time to kick in, in the meantime I think I should make a coffee, just to give me something to do while I 'wait' you understand.
Well this works for me.

Okay thanks for trying @rongtw. It would seem that this is a server side error I reckon and not directly related to your browser. I know its being looked at by Lithium right now.

Checking 'What's new' in FF46.0 you find this entry under the Desktop tab
*NEW* Improved security of the JavaScript Just In Time (JIT) Compiler.
This entry does not appear in the Android and IOS tabs?
May be a clue to the differing observations.

I am running the desktop version and not having any consistent issues ... when they have happened it has been a bit random.
edit: edit test...

I just editted my previous reply and no problems occured. I will be keeping my eye on this over the weekend and give it a go on my Windows 10 PC at home using Firefox and report back with anything I can find.
Hoping that Lithium will find whats going on in the server side code and apply a fix of some sorts.
