Acessing an old email account

I see this has been asked before and someone offered to PM the person who posted so I am hoping there is a solution to my problem, I haven't been able to add to the thread. I desperately need to access an email from a previous address from a closed account. I have changed my pc since changing my emal account so no longer have access to it. I am sure this is a long shot but thought it worth asking whether there is any way I could access it?

Did you arrange to retain the email account before the account was closed? 
Unless you arranged this then I’m afraid that all emails would have been permanently deleted when the account was closed.

I don't know but probably not! I doubt I saw a reason to do so then but of course now with hindsight......!

Just to add to my post. When did you leave Plusnet? The option to retain an email account was discontinued in April 2022.

As a first step have you tried emailing the account to see if it bounces? If it does the I'm sure @Baldrick1 is correct - it's all gone so nothing can be done

I left in 2016 and rejoined but using a different email address in 2021

I have just tried emailing the old  email adress and yes it bounces.☹️

If the account hasn’t been used for 8 years then I’m afraid that it’s long gone.

Hi @FionaP feel free to PM me the email address and I'll check it for you, chances are after 8 years and it bouncing it will be gone but I'm happy to confirm either way.
