Cannot send or receive emails through WiFi

Hi

My emails have been working fine but as of today they will not come through on wifi.  I get an error saying that the server cannot be found - error 0x800408FC.  If I turn the wifi off on my iphone the emails come through fine.  They also will not come through on my desktop.

Could anyone assist please as the help phone line is closed.

Thanks

Re: Cannot send or receive emails through WiFi

Have you tried switching to a different DNS server on your devices?
That's RPM to you!!

Re: Cannot send or receive emails through WiFi

Yes I also have the same issues since yesterday. If I switch my Virgin wi-fi off then e-mails come in, but with it switched on, I get - The mail server "imap.plus.net" is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct info in Mail settings.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Cannot send or receive emails through WiFi

I also can’t access this site (community.plus.net) via WiFi, so it’s not specifically an email issue in my case.
My outlook and Tiscali emails are fine, so it’s something to do with the plus.net domain possibly.
Not as ISP problem because mine is TalkTalk and one of the other users reporting an issue is with Virgin.

Re: Cannot send or receive emails through WiFi

Hi,

I also cannot send or receive email via plus.net.

"The server returned the error: Connections to host mail.plus.net on the default ports failed."

Has anyone managed to get through to log it as an issue?

Probably unrelated, but the main website isn't rendering the menus properly either today (Mac, Firefox 101)

Re: Cannot send or receive emails through WiFi

My plusnet email has been working for years with no problem.

I have changed no settings and today I am getting the following message on my desktop:

Failed to login to pop3 server

Re: Cannot send or receive emails through WiFi

It seems to be wifi related. If I turn wifi off on my phone and use data it works, if i'm on wifi (at home) it doesn't.

It's not just wifi,  I am using a desktop PC.

Re: Cannot send or receive emails through WiFi

Is anyone connected by Ethernet rather than WiFi, and if so, is it working or not?

Re: Cannot send or receive emails through WiFi

My desktop is connected to my router using ethernet.

And I have the "Failed to login to pop3 server" issue as well.
