Emailing Plusnet recipient - 552 Spam Message Rejected

Hi there,

 

We have a use that is trying to sign up to our services using an email hosted by plusnet but our emails are being blocked/rejected by your servers.

 

We are getting a 552 Spam Message Rejected bounce back on our emails but our domains are clean and not on any blacklists.

 

Can anyone offer some advice on how to resolve/rectify this issue?

Do you have url links to other sites in your email ?

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Plusnet use the Cloudmark system to detect spam. I'm afraid it will trace down the links and if it finds a poor reputation it will mark as spam.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Seems a bit odd that social links would be detected/picked up as having poor reputation? These are links hosted and provided by the social platforms themselves (i.e Facebook, X, LinkedIn).

 

Have you heard of any other businesses running into this issue when emailing Plusnet recipients? Do you know if there is a way to contact Cloudmark to see if the issue is at their end?

We do see reports on here occasionally.

There's an option to report accuacy problems here I believe https://www.cloudmark.com/en/knowledgebase/cloudmark-authority-sdk/how-to-report-an-accuracy-issue

No we privately host on AWS. Is that likely to be a problem?

@Baldrick1 , I don't think that link is applicable here - as I understand it the problem is that a non-Plusnet hosted e-mail is being sent to a Plusnet e-mail address and is being rejected (repeatedly).

If you are, it would be helpful if you can send me a private message containing the full message source of one such email that has been successfully delivered to a non-Plusnet email address (as seen from the recipient side).
