Gmail Force9

Trying to setup a force9 account on gmail on a new mobile phone - I can send messages from this account but none incoming. Message displayed "Problem syncing".

Do I need to change anything on the incoming settings.

Re: Gmail Force9

Depends what they are presently set to.

IMAP or POP3?

Is there anything indicating that there is a successful sign-in?

Does the email client facilitate changing the server time out?  Try setting that to 2 minutes.

Re: Gmail Force9

Fix

If you are using imap it should be

Incoming Settings

Server: imap.force9.net

Port: 993

mail.force9.net is POP3

@Townman  has previousy published these settings.

IMAP: imap.plus.net port 993 encryption SSL/TLS
POP3: mail.plus.net port 995 encryption SSL/TLS
SMTP: relay.plus.net port 587 encryption STARTTLS
User name (authentication) configured on BOTH incoming and outgoing servers
Default mailbox accountname
Secondary mailbox accountname+mailboxname

Some long term customers will need to change '.plus.net' to '.force9.net' or '.free-online.net' for both your incoming and outgoing servers to match your account
