Gmail no longer retrieves my Madasafish emails

Hi I use GMail to retrieve mail from my madasafish account. Today it has stopped retrieving, 

I have deleted the account in gmail and tried to add it back in but it would appear that gmail will not see the account. 

I can access the webmail using safari so my account and password are correct has the port changed.

Current setting was port 110

Mail server Mail.madasafish.com

Any help will be great.

Looks as though there is an issue with the MAAF routing.

I can access the account via web it would appear that gmail times out when trying to connect although login info is correct it does not set up. I am sorry if I am not in the correct forum chat

Hi Townman,

Many thanks for your support so far. I know very little about these things and ended up on this forum trying to find out why I can't access my emails. My email is a domain address that operates therough Madasafish and goes back to that time. I can't access Madasafish webmail either to get around it so I have lost function on my main email address. Does the fact that it has been escalated mean there is likely to be a solution shortly or should I ring up Plusnet in the usual way to see if I can get it sorted.  Any help you can give would be much appreciated because as it stands I have no access to my emails many of which may be very important. Is there a way of getting into Madasafish Webmail at present\?

It is a network level issue - the front line staff are unlikely to add anything to this space.

I managed to contact the right people yesterday evening. Changes have been made, but they might need more time to propagate around the internet. Note this is guesswork.

I have just got access to my Madasafish Webmail on webmail.plus.net

.........hopefully it will carry on and the Pop3 servers will follow.

I am assuming it is related to the fact that the domain name has expired but recently renewed (following another thread on this forum) I know its not your issue but its frustrating I am trying to renew Insurance and everything points to that email and nothing is coming in even though I can see the mail via Plusnet

I know what you mean.....I was in a real panic with no email access at all and even though my webmail seems to be working I am very nervous about it stopping again and although I'm very relieved to have it back it is not a long term solution....I need to get back to being able to use my Outlook for the things I need to do through my domain email address.

The problem has been fixed, I have reset the account in Gmail and it is successfully retrieved mail. So the escalation has resolved the issue.

Does this include 'discussions' with registrars?
