Lost all of my emails

My account was deleted today with less than 24 hours notice as I moved my landline number to another provider (internet phone) and only found out that my account had been closed when I called Plusnet as my internet had stopped working. I was told that I would have 24-48 hours to backup/download my emails but I haven't been able to log in to do this as my internet was down. I spoke to support who advised that my email accounts have been closed and deleted even though I can still log into my customer portal where it says my account in in the process of closing down. Please are you able to restore my emails so I can take a copy of them or are you able to send a backup somehow? I have many many years of emails that are very important, surely there must be a backup somewhere - this only happened yesterday
