Hi there, I hope you can help.
We moved to another isp last year, and kept our Plusnet (Free-online) account as mail only.
Since then we found that we can no longer send emails, so we have had to find an outgoing mail service.
However, most of these mail services are bulk email senders - so our mails are often rejected as spam or junk. They've sent me details of how to change my domain details to add Text records to DKIM, SPF and DMARC in my domain. I have no clue how to do this in Plusnet. Can you help with how to do this?
Alternatively, do you have an option for a paid mail only account so I can at least start using my free-online mail properly again - utilising your outgoing mail server?
Or (and this might be our best option) - do you have an option to have a paid account that is a landline phone and emails? I don't need Broadband since we get really poor speed and have had to resort to a 4G option, so I'm thinking of just getting rid of our current Broadband provider altogether (they promised us better speed than Plusnet, which was why we moved - they lied).
One last problem - since I became a mail-only customer, when I sign in, the welcome screen appears briefly then it immediately logs me out. If I'm quick enough and have my mouse poised in the right place, I can click on a link before the screen disappears then it keeps me logged in, but it usually takes four or five attempts before I can do this. Is there something else I can do?
Any help you can give would be much appreciated.

You should be able to use the PlusNet smtp server to send mail but you will need to set authentication on the outgoing server in your mail client. Use your accountname & password to authenticate.

I'm assuming you have a domain hosted by PlusNet , is that correct ? It's not possible to add Text records via the PlusNet domain control I'm afraid. So DKIM and DMARC are not possible. There is a workaround to add an SPF record.
TBH I'd suggest moving your domain registration and getting a mail hosting service from a specialist company. It need not cost a fortune, domain registration and a mail hosting service that can provide SPF/DKIM and DMARC cost me < £30/yr.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Sorry to see you go. You should be able to send an email fine via a free mail only account.
Are you trying to send from a mail client or at webmail.plus.net?
Do you get any particular error messages or bounce-backs?

Sounds like an issue described here Here which we're working on getting to the bottom of.
