Is it something to do with the Greenby transfer perhaps? Note I have not received any email from Greenby about this, in fact I knew nothing about the transfer until I started having this problem this afternoon (hopefully the ancient 'dialstart' email address hasn't fallen off the radar!)

Hi Fes,
There are a few changes going on in the background, they should be mostly transparent so it's worth double checking what settings you have in case something differs from what it expects.
Are you able to check and compare in your Samsung settings?
For incoming POP3 mail you should have the following:
Incoming server: mail.dialstart.net
Port: 110
Username: full email address e.g. username@dialstart.net
Password: Same as you used for webmail
Connection security: None
Authentication method: normal password

If the environment which has issues receiving POP3 try running this command in a 'terminal' window.
curl.exe -v pop3://mail.dialstart.net -u 'userID:password'
Is there more than one client using POP3? That's bad voodoo!
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

I have the same problem as Fes - Thunderbird stopped receiving emails on my dialstart address yesterday afternoon. The last email I received was from support@plus.net and stated:
You are receiving this message as your mailbox has not been accessed since: 2021-09-01 11:31:03 We have therefore archived the contents of the mailbox, please note that new mails will continue to be received. To stop this from happening going forward you need to access it and collect E-Mail at least once within a 90 day period. If you would like your email restoring then please contact our support team by raising a ticket using the Help Assistant on our website: https://portal.plus.net/ We will only keep archived email for a limited period of time, after which it will be permanently deleted.
I can see later emails on that account via webmail so it looks like Plusnet have changed something at their end that has broken my emails.
Any ideas how to fix this?

However this morning I'm not receiving emails again, but I think it's a different problem. I'm not getting anything through on Webmail itself. I can log in fine, send emails, but have had nothing received since 23:08 last night! I thought I might be over quota, so deleted lots of old emails, but it didn't help.
Help!!

Thankyou. Notifications of these recent posts have arrived in my dialstart Inbox when I look via webmail but there has been nothing on Thunderbird and it reckons 'no new messages'.

I think so, there was some overnight mail in a queue, looks to be delivered now.

Thanks for unclogging this - a 'normal' number of my dialstart emails are now appearing in my Inbox.
What has not returned to normal is that since the problem started on Tuesday evening Thunderbird has not downloaded the emails that I can see in the Inbox on webmail. As far as I am aware I have not changed anything at my end. Has anything changed at the Plusnet end or is there anything that I need to check at this end?
