If it helps, I found all your posted directed to me impolite.
Take your pick - not of polished manners; wanting in good manners; discourteous; uncivil; rude.
You wouldn't speak to someone in that manner face to face why should it be different on a forum.

No, it does not help at all. State the words or sentences that were rude and explain why they were rude?
====
Which part of below is rude?"
No, because it does not state the authentication settings.
What are they supposed to be?
======
The first sentence referred to the link. It does not specify the authentications settings.
I fail to understand why the response was perceived as rude.
============
I would not want to speak to a "snowflake" like you who cries when a straight honest answer is provided and cries they spend 10 minutes of their time to no avail and then wastes time posting pointless comments regarding rudeness when you are in fact the rude childish person with delusions.
If you indeed had setting in Thunderbird then a useful post would have been,
"My setting which work are:
Server name: mail.ic24.net
Port: 587
Connection security: STARTTLS (or none)
Authenticationb method: Normal password (or no authentication)
Username: Full ic24 email address: XXX@ic24.net
One kind person answered in this manner (albeit after I posted my solution).
Of course, I had these settings all along and the solutution required a webmail log in. I doubt anyone would have figured it out. It was pure chance.
I guess you realise how pathetic your post was and how your lack the ability to post without crying and want to continue your childish stance. Let's exchange insults all night, else go away and cry by yourself.
Now, I am being as rude as you!

You lose the argument when you resort to insults, someone hand me a box of tissues, tears of laugher are streaming down my face.

You lost the argument as soon as your childish claim of rudeness was made.
Then you began the rude comments: "Take your pick - not of polished manners; wanting in good manners; discourteous; uncivil; rude."
You were clearly talking about yourself.
Your inability to answer which word or sentence was rude and why a reasonable person would think so demonstrates you lost the argument.
I guess you are laughing at yourself as you realise how childish you are.
"Mummy, the poster said my response as not helpful, I am going to cry like a big baby, because I think this is rude. I cannot accept my response was not helpful. I spent 10 minutes to post something what was not useful. Mummy, honest responses are rude."
Seriously, do you cry at work when somene says you made an error?

Thanks @corringham I just found his first reply to me rather terse, everything else form both of us was probably not called for, but the final insults including my deceased mother are actually uncalled for and require an apology.
All in all an unpleasant experience.

In the days of SMS and on-line messaging, conversational style has tended to become more terse and abrupt. You shouldn't take that as rudeness, it is just pragmatic habit.
Being a bit of a dinosaur I type everything in full even in SMS messages - although it often means I have to send several!
I think the last time I used mostly abbreviations in a message I was sending a telegram!

Nothing wrong with being a dinosaur, I am one as well. I agree with you, but the shortness of messages would dependant on the media being used. I recall many years ago when ship to shore communication was morse code I would have to abbreviate telegrams to reduce the word count. So rather being a child I am a grumpy old man 🙄

Many people do not want to read an essay. They want to get to the point. Why read verbal diarrhoea?
If you view a response that is to the point as being rude then evaluate your thought process. It is defective.
The only person should be apologising is you. You began the childish post in response to a perfectly innoxious reply as being rude, when it certainly was not. I have never come across such a post on a forum.
Now, you expect one to apologise because your mother died, and you did not state on your posts your mother had died. We are all meant to be mind readers when making a comical response to your pathetic response. You took the joke personally, instead of understanding the point I was making.
Now your make points via third parties and claim a terse response is rude. A terse style of writing does not signify rudeness. It is a direct and efficient style fit for purpose!
Words are valuable. Use them sparingly.
I would sincerely like to thank everyone who tried to help me, with the exception of Dan_the_Van. I really wish Dan_the_Van did not respond.

Just give it a rest and stop!
Other than thinking your post was terse or rude, which to me it was (may be not to others), I have not insulted you in the way you have to me in any of my posts.
All you really needed to polity say,
"thanks for the link but I've tried earlier, I'm look for the security settings" then all of your nastiness would have not happened.
there is no excuse for poor manners.
I've no longer got time for a thuggish on-line bully as yourself. (That is intended to be an insult)
