Please can anyone assist,I recently purchased a new tablet and am having difficulties setting it up as the outgoing emails are stuck in the outbox,in what is stated as queued.I have spoken with Plusnet who set it up but could not resolve this matter and have referred me to the forum.The incoming emails do not appear to be a problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions.

A warm welcome to the forums. Which email brand are you having problems with? Plusnet run a number of current and legacy email services.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

Where do I find which brand?

Check your outgoing server settings. They should be…
SMTP server - relay.plus.net
PORT 587
Authentication required - user name and password the same as the incoming server.
Encryption - STARTTLS
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

I amended outgoing server settings as requested and the following replied.
Couldn't verify account server certificate not trusted.

Certificate errors usually occur where the SMTP server has been configured as smtp.plus.net rather than relay.plus.net
Try this diagnostic - in a terminal or CMD window...
curl.exe -v smtp://relay.plus.net:587 -u userID:password -ssl
userID can be any of...
- accountname
- accountname+mailboxname
- you@accountname.plus.com
- you@yourhosteddomain.co.uk
Only post the 235... response.
Note that the line before that is you encrypted userID:password which is readily decrypted and your public IP address is disclosed in the earlier part of the dialogue.

Oh dear, another android failure!!!
I cannot image the challenges of so many things which are so simple under windows being made overly difficult in other environments ... see build and install curl from source
