Also , what do you expect to see on any ISP forum?  Customers spending their time saying how wonderful their supplier is - you must be joking.

I have personally thanked a member of staff on here, as they deserved it (big time) for how they helped me.

So yes, I have moaned in the past - that's me. But I realise we're all human and not robots (cor I hate those stupid automated calls). So when someone helps me, you have my upmost respect.

Good for you but unfortunately they have failed to help me and many others who use their rubbish plusnet webmail system and have seemingly 'washed their hands' of all responsibility  because it is categorised as an 'add-on' service . Yes its a free service but  I have 100's of emails stored (before the performance degraded to worthless) that I require access to without having to spend hours trying to load and battle my way through a plethora of error messages.

Thanks for this suggestion.  Please, how do we get this list options thing to stick?   The suggested actions have worked, but the next time I use Webmail I seem to need to do the fix again?  I use a more conventional email client, but I assist a friend who insists on using Webmail.

It will stick unless the user changes to sort sequence by clicking the column headers.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Standard Webmail (Round Cube) slow performance mitigation

I reset the sort option earlier today but on testing the effect just now, I have to report I didn't get any errors but my inbox, which only contains 37 messages, still took an eternity to load.  I suppose that's an improvement but it's not the mitigation I hoped for.

Fortunately I only have to resort to webmail when I'm away from home (my default mail access is using POP to Outlook, no IMAP involved) and, funnily enough, I've not been away from home much in recent months.
