Hi all,
I said I would keep an eye on this thread.
As I mentioned above, I found a workaround to sending emails by reverting to my jack@p******.plus.com email account rather than my jack@p******.co.uk (the domain still hosted for me by plusnet). As the plus.com still allowed me to send emails I made the assumption that the problem was with an aspect of domain hostiing within Plusnet.
Today, I accidently replied to an email that I had received at jack@p******.co.uk, and it was sent!!!
I followed that up by sending a new email out of jack@p******.co.uk, and that was sent too.
I haven't changed any of my settings on the client side. Therefore I have to assume that someone at Plusnet has fixed the domain issue that was preventing the sending of emails out of my .co.uk account. Maybe support got a complaint from another user and sorted it out!
Anyway, at the moment my problem seems fixed. I think I will shortly migrate to Mythic Beast as suggested by @MisterW and @Townman for a longer term soulution. However, it would be useful to find out what Plusnet has done to fix this problem, so that if there is a recurrance, others can raise and request a similar fix.
Can I leave it to @MisterW or @Townman to determine whether to close this thread now, or decide to ask Plusnet to reveal the problem and how it was fixed, for the benefit of others who might have a similar problem in the future?
