I have a native Plusnet email address you@youraccount.plus.com
Some of my mail is failing as it does not pass required tests.
The plus.com domain does not appear to have a DMARC or SPC record
Can this be fixed.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Are you talking sent mail, and if so, where are you sending it? None of my sent messages are being returned/bounced.

The plus.com domain does not appear to have a DMARC or SPC record
Have you checked the <accountname>.plus.com , mine certainly has DMARC & SPF and I believe the Plusnet servers also implement DKIM
To add to that , whilst I dont normally use my <account>.plus.com email , I've just sent email from it to my externally hosted domain. The headers in the receved email show a valid SPF record was found and it contained a valid DKIM signature

MisterW Yes I have checked <myaccount>.plus.com and this has no DMARC or SPF failures. I have inspected headers in my sent emails (to self) and also sent mail to email deliverability checking site with result of DMARC and SPF failure.

Are you sending using the Plusnet mail server , relay.plus.net ?

@BarryBoater As I asked in my original post, which domains are claiming your mail is failing these checks?

Gmail should not be rejecting emails from relay.plus.net, but I'll leave further comment to @MisterW as he has more knowledge on this than I have.

@BarryBoater A further thought - are these rejected messages sent from your home connection, and if not, have you got authentication enabled?

In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

Yes, authentication enabled.
Gmail is prissy about no DMARC or SPF records which is the object of my post

@BarryBoater I think you will find that the PN mail servers are correctly configured, but if you want to argue they aren't...

@BarryBoater ok so I'm very confused as to why your emails are failing, I've just tried sending to my gmail account and it works fine, viewing the headers on gmail gives
Original message

You are using the native email address in the FROM aren't you ?

@MisterW Thank you, but if I send to my Gmail account using my Plusnet mailing account i don't receive the mail, so I can't check the headers!
If I test at https://mxtoolbox.com/spf.aspx using <myusername>.plus.com I get there is no record. Same if I use their DMARC test.
I guess if you were to use this test you would have records?
