Web mail fails to find server

I am running webmail from Chrome. It keeps telling me that it has 'Connection Error Failed to reach the server' and then shortly after it continues as if there is no error. Is this a genuine error if so what to do?
Any one else seen this?
Does Pegasus work as a client would that be a better option?

Webmail can time out under certain conditions and is a much discussed matter on the EMAIL forum. See the sticky thread about optimising webmail performance. On large mailboxes, the sort sequence has a major impact on performance.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

It has now timed out completely - it won't even show me my mail.
What happened?
I have raised a ticket.
